Hotel Policies

  • The Santiniketan Hotel & Resort reserves the right to refuse check-in in the absence of a valid ID. All guests must be at least 18 years old to eligible to Check-In without a guardian.
  • Check out time is 11 AM. Check-in time at 12 PM. Early check in and late check out are possible on a case-to-case basis upon prior conversation with the Hotel. The hotel may charge fees for late check out depending on availablity.
  • The standard cancellation policy provides for a one-time, non-transferable rescheduling of the tour during the next month, provided that the cancellation is made at least 6 days before the check-in date. This is contingent upon room availability on the revised preferred dates.
  • If the cancellation happens between 15 and 7 days before the check-in date, 50% of the total room rent will be deducted as a cancellation fee.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in.
  • Any previously provided savings will be forfeited upon rescheduling; instead, the usual tariff including GST will apply. The difference in lodging charges must be paid by the guest. Room preferences will be based on availability.
  • If you reschedule several rooms, the advance payment will only be applied to the same number of rooms that were initially booked. If fewer rooms are booked while rescheduling, the payment adjustment will only cover the original number of rooms, with no refund or adjustment for the lower number.
  • If a cancellation is made less than 6 days before the scheduled check-in date, no rescheduling request will be entertained.
  • The new reschedule date must be announced prior to the previously scheduled check-in date.
  • The resort maintains the right to cancel any booking with at least 24 hours’ notice without giving a reason. In addition, if the specified policies are violated, the resort reserves the right to cancel bookings or reject check-in.
  • Any legal concerns would be decided only in Kolkata courts.
  • We accept all credit and debit cards, except international cards.
  • UPI and PhonePe payments are also accepted.

  • According to the Government of India’s security rules, all guests must produce a photocopy of valid identification at check-in. Santiniketan Hotel and Resorts retains the right to refuse check-in if a valid ID is not provided. Guests who check in without a guardian must be at least 18 years old.
  • Check-out time is 11AM noon, and check-in begins at 12 PM. Early check-in and late check-out may be permitted on a case-by-case basis with the hotel’s prior consent, which may incur additional fees.
  • Each child must bring proof of age; otherwise, the hotel may treat the child as an adult and levy additional fees. Every guest must have both the original and a photocopy of a valid government-issued ID.
  • Guests are responsible for locking their doors and windows while leaving their rooms, as the hotel is not liable for any loss or damage to personal property. Guests are encouraged to protect their belongings.
  • Open flames are not permitted; do not start fires or discard lit matches or cigarettes. Smoking is prohibited in public areas including the reception, lobby, and restaurant.
  • Male visitors are not permitted in female guestrooms, and vice versa. Visitors can only meet guests at the reception or restaurant areas. Visitors must produce a photocopy of their ID and contact information at reception and are not permitted in guest rooms after 8 p.m.
  • Bringing outside food inside the hotel is not permitted.
  • Visitors must provide a valid government-issued ID (such as an Aadhar card, a voter ID, a driver’s license, or a passport) at reception and express their departure time before entering the guest area.
  • Pets are not allowed in our resort.
  • Drug use and gambling are strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage or loss to the property during their stay, and the resort will charge accordingly.
  • Additional adults or children above 10 years, beyond two guests per room, would incur an extra charge of ₹500 per person. Only one additional person is permitted each room, however availability may be limited.
  • If guests check out early, they must pay for the entire booked term, including any days they did not remain.
  • At check-in, all visitors must provide the original and photocopies of their identity cards, such as EPIC or Aadhar.
  • Drinking alcohol is not allowed near the swimming pool area. Drinking of Alcohol will not be permitted after 11pm on the deck.
  • Guests should wear proper swimming costumes in the pool. The costumes can be rented from the reception.
  • Loud music and noisy gatherings on the common deck after 10 p.m. are strictly prohibited.
  • Room service may not be provided from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • If a guest fails to check in by 9 PM on the specified date without prior notice, the reservation will be considered canceled, and the room may be rebooked after that time.
  • Guests must follow local government restrictions regulating sea bathing, particularly during high tides or inclement weather.
  • Outside food is not permitted inside the cottages or rooms.
  • The resort maintains the right to cancel any booking with at least 24 hours’ notice without assigning a cause. Bookings may also be canceled or denied due to a violation of any of the policies outlined below.
  • The hotel is not liable for personal property damage; visitors should thoroughly inspect their rooms before leaving.
  • All rooms are air-conditioned; please keep doors and windows closed.
  • Wi-Fi is free and passwords are available at reception.
  • Guests must wear proper apparel and footwear in public areas of the resort.
  • Outside guests are not permitted to enter cottages or rooms unless the resort officials grant permission.
  • Bringing explosives, firearms, or flammable objects into the hotel is a criminal violation.
  • External electrical appliances are not permitted in the rooms.
  • By checking in, guests agree to fully comply with the resort’s policies outlined in this notice.
  • Any purposeful or inadvertent damage to rooms or property must be paid for in cash by the guest before check-out, in accordance with the resort’s rates.
  • Any legal problems will be resolved only in Kolkata-based courts.
  • Solo tourists are not permitted to bring outsiders inside their rooms during their stay. They may, however, speak with visitors in the reception area between 5 and 7 p.m. The resort will preserve copies of the visitor’s ID that have been signed by both parties.
  • All accommodation categories can accommodate up to two (2) adults and one (1) child under the age of nine. An extra bed is available for an additional fee.
  • Child Policy
    Accommodation for one child under the age of five is free.
  • PET POLICY
    Santiniketan Hotel and Resorts does not allow pets in our resort premises.
  • All guests must produce a valid photo ID at the time of check-in.
  • Driving licenses, Aadhar cards, voter IDs, and passports are all accepted forms of identification.

Our resort is located at Silampur, East Midnapore PS Ramnagar, near Rose Valley Resort, Mandarmani, West Bengal. We are only a short walk from the picturesque Mandarmani Beach, making it ideal for guests who want easy beach access.

We offer a variety of accommodations including deluxe rooms (AC/Non AC), Super Delux(A.C.), BED ROOM for 4(A.C.), COTTAGE BED room(A.C.) for 5and family cottages.Each accommodation is designed for comfort with modern conveniences, and some have balconies overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Our rooms comfortably accommodate solo travelers, couples, and families, with extra beds available upon request.

Check-in is from 12:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM.. Early check-in or late check-out are possible based on availability; please contact our front desk in advance to schedule.
